PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover for a long article in which the assembled condition is less easily disassembled even when internal stresses are exerted in the cover while maintaining the assembly workability. SOLUTION: A lid body of the cover for the long article is formed by providing first and second cover members 100 and 200, and an engagement part 110 of V-shape in cross-sectional view is formed on both ends of the first cover member 100 by forming a first engagement guide surface 113 between an edge part 111 and a bent end part 112 in a bending manner inward of a long article accommodation space 300. A second engagement guide surface 213 in which both ends of the second cover member 200 are inclined inward of the long article accommodation space 300 in cross-sectional view and abutted on the first engagement guide surface 113 is formed on both ends of the second cover 200, a recessed part 214 which is recessed inward of the long article accommodation space 300 is provided on a guide terminating part 212 side of the second engagement guide surface 213, and an engaged part 210 is formed in S-shape to constitute the cover body of the cover for the long article.
