PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain low torque operation while maintaining seal performance, in a seal device of a bearing for an axle. SOLUTION: In this seal device of a bearing for an axle, the seal device 9 comprises a slinger 11 of L-shape section, formed by a cylinder part 12 fixed to an external peripheral surface of an inner ring member 1 and a flange 13 extended in a diametric direction toward an outer ring member 5 from a bearing external side end part of this cylinder part 12, and a seal ring unit 14, formed with a cylinder part 16 fixed to an internal peripheral surface of the outer ring member 5 and an internal peripheral lip 18 coming into slide contact with an inner surface of the slinger 11, the slinger 11 is characterized by its being formed with a low friction resin material.
