PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve drive device, it judges a short circuit and a disconnection in a fuel injection valve. SOLUTION: A fuel injection valve drive device possesses the electromagnet, and according to energizing to the electromagnet, become open the valve of fuel injection, it is prepared in this electromagnet in series, therein a current detection means to detect the current which flows on this electromagnet after predetermined time progress after starting the energization to this electromagnet, if the current detected by this current detection means exceeds the 1st threshold decided beforehand, it judges with the short circuit having occurred for the current course in a fuel injection valve, if the current detected by this current detection means is less than the 2nd threshold decided beforehand it provides with an abnormal judgment means which judges that the disconnection has been generated in the current route in the fuel injection valve. In this way, the short circuit and disconnection in a fuel injection valve can be judged with easy structure.
