PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which inexpensive and stabilized carriage of sheet and imaging can be realized. SOLUTION: A sheet passing section 10 is formed integrally with the frame 3 of a sheet feeding section in order to guide a sheet fed by a sheet feeding means downstream. A platen 11 integrally provided with a section 12 for guiding a sheet fed by a sheet feeding means to the sheet carrying means 24 at a sheet carrying section and a section 30 for holding a sheet carried by the sheet carrying means 24 to an imaging section at the imaging position thereof is disposed in the downstream of the sheet passing section 10. Furthermore, a section for coupling the sheet guide section 12 of the platen 11 to the sheet passing section 10 is provided at at least one of the downstream end in the sheet carrying direction of the sheet passing section 10 and the upstream end in the sheet carrying direction of the sheet guide section 12.
