PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable printer capable of achieving light weight and miniaturization of the printer or saving the power consumption by obviating a motor for conveying a paper. SOLUTION: This portable printer comprises a body 1 having an ink head 11 for ejecting ink according to input image data, a paper tray 2 capable of holding a recording paper at a position opposite to the ink head 11, and a tray support arm 3 that supports the paper tray 2 such that the paper tray 2 can be slidably moved in an inner face direction of the paper holding face with respect to the body 1. When the printing is performed, the ink is ejected to a face to be printed of the recording paper from the ink head 11 while the paper tray 2 having the recording paper falls.
