PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an ink jet recorder which enables a waste liquid to be efficiently processed and has a high reliability for preventing a discharge opening for the waste liquid from being clogged by piling in an ink jet recorder or the like which forms images by discharging a reactive ink to a medium to be printed. SOLUTION: A waste liquid collection means 12 is constituted of a waste liquid collection frame body 14 and a waste liquid absorber 13. The waste liquid collection frame body 14 is shaped to surround a bottom face and a side face of the waste liquid absorber 13. An opening part 16 and a groove 17 are set to the waste liquid absorber 13. The waste liquid of a black ink is discharged from a black ink waste liquid discharge 11-Bk to a waste liquid discharge point 15-Bk, and the waste liquid of a color ink is discharged from a color ink waste liquid discharge 11-Col to a waste liquid discharge point 15-Col. A low density layer 18 is set to the side of a contact face of the waste liquid absorber 13 where the waste liquid absorber contacts an inner bottom face of the waste liquid collection frame body 14. |
