PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer body excellently cleaned because toner is easily peeled, and preventing density change in lateral band shape from being caused on an image by preventing the electrostatic fatigue of a photoreceptor. SOLUTION: This intermediate transfer body is used in an intermediate transfer type image forming device where a visible developed image formed on a photoreceptor drum is primarily transferred to the intermediate transfer body traveling endlessly, and a primarily transferred image on the intermediate transfer body is secondarily transferred to transfer material. The intermediate transfer body consists of two or more layers, and its surface layer 1 is a high resistance layer showing >=1011Ω/(square), and the dielectric constant of the entire layer is <=30.
