PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a thermohygrostat that the water temperature of a humidity sensor and a humidifier is lowered temporarily by supply water to cause disturbance of humidity and humidified steam generated at the time of humidity control is discharged to the outside of a test tank to cause waste of supply water to the humidifier, and to provide a thermohygrostat having means for preventing temporary disturbance of inner temperature and humidity due to supply water and reducing consumption of supply water by collecting and reusing water in the humidified steam. SOLUTION: The thermohygrostat comprises a heater 7, a humidifier 9, and the evaporator 8 of a refrigeration system disposed in a test tank 1 wherein humidified steam discharged from a pressure equalizing opening 2 during operation of the humidifier 9 is introduced to a steam introduction pipe 4 in order to exchange heat with water supply piping 3 touching the steam introduction pipe 4 tightly. Temperature drop of a humidity sensor 10 and the humidifier 9 is prevented by heating supply water in the water supply piping 3 thus suppressing disturbance of the temperature and humidity. Since humidified steam is collected while being cooled and then reused, long time continuous operation is ensured and the labor of an inspector for inspecting the quantity of water and supplementing water can be reduced greatly.
