PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a method and apparatus capable of increasing the peak value and the rising speed of a pulse voltage to be injected into a cable 10 at a low cost. SOLUTION: A pulse injection device 1 is constituted of a current transformer 2, a direct current power source 3 connected to both ends of leads 6 consisting the current transformer 2, and a switch freely switchable between a state passing and a state and not passing a direct current from the direct current source 3 to the leads 6. When a pulse voltage is impressed in the cable 10, the current transformer 2 is arranged around the end of the cable and a direct current is conducted to the leads 6. Then, by instantaneously releasing the sending state of direct current, a reverse electromotive force is generated in the cable 6. As the results, a pulse voltage with large peak value and rising speed can be injected into the cable 10.
