PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed star sensor with good light shielding performance to unwanted light and small size. SOLUTION: The fixed star sensor, which is mounted on an artificial satellite and creates an image of the fixed star sensor used for an attitude control of the satellite based on light from the fixed star, comprises an optical lens system that condenses light of an external light source which is entered from a front side of the sensor and an image pickup device that receives light from the optical lens system to create an image. Then a condenser that totally reflects light, which is entered into from a front side of an optical axis at a prescribed angle or more to the optical axis, at an internal face of a rear side of the optical axis, is placed in the optical lens system.
