Disk cartridge 1, (21) in which disks having different disk diameters are stored in the respective cartridge housings that are different in size and thickness and the cartridge housing includes a shutter 7, (27) that can open and close are provided together with a shutter opening and closing member 9 which makes the shutter open by a shutter opening protrusion 9a when the disk cartridge is inserted into a drive device and makes the shutter close by a shutter closing protrusion 9b when said disk cartridge is removed from said drive device. Thus, shutter opening positions are made identical with shutter closing positions for both of the disk cartridge having a larger disk diameter and the disk cartridge having a smaller disk diameter.
