Anchoring features on a large surface area of the molded plastic insert (2) enable the latter to be firmly retained in the component (1). Location of the insert in a molding tool (8) for the component is achieved by positioning features on an outer surface at a distance from the anchoring features. An independent claim is made for the insert(2).
