PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently and economically treating a flue gas discharged from an incineration apparatus for municipal refuses or industrial wastes. SOLUTION: A flue gas discharged from an incineration apparatus for municipal refuses, industrial wastes, etc., is subjected to temperature decrease with a boiler 11 and a gas-cooling tower and then is subjected to dust removal with a dust collector 12. At the downstream side of the dust collector 12, a corrosion- resistant heat exchanger 13 and then a wet-type smoke-cleaning apparatus 15 are installed. After the flue gas at the outlet of the smoke-cleaning apparatus 15 is introduced into the heat exchanger 13 to be subjected to heat exchange, the gas is supplied to a catalyst tower 17, if necessary through a flue gas heater 16. Since the heat exchanger installed at the downstream side of the dust removal uses tubes made of corrosion-resistant glass, the exchanger is resistant to an acidic gas. Since the flue gas supplied to the catalyst tower is subjected to heat exchange with the flue gas of a relatively high temperature before the temperature decrease, treatment efficiency can be elevated. Thus, the amount of steam used can be decreased to a large extent. |
