PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an bio-degradable and -absorptive open cell foam capable of forming scaffolds for regeneration of bulky vital tissues of desired shapes, to provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The bio-degradable and -absorptive open cell foam consists of an aerosol or aerogel formed by spraying a polymer solution prepared by dissolving an bio-degradable and -absorptive polymer into a volatile solvent by a gas for jetting. The apparatus for manufacturing such open cell foam is constituted by filling a hermetic container having a jetting port with the polymer solution prepared by dissolving the bio-degradable and -absorptive polymer into the volatile solvent and the liquefied gas for jetting. The open cell foam consisting of the aerosol or aerogel is easily manufactured by the method of spraying the polymer solution from this jetting port by the gas for jetting. |
