METHOD FOR PRODUCING GRANULAR MOLDED PRODUCT FOR IMMOBILIZING MICROBIAL CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a granular molded product capable of improving microbial cell adhesion to the granular molded product for immobilizing a microbial cell. SOLUTION: This method for producing the granular molded product for immobilizing the microbial cell is characterized by carrying out gelation of an aqueous liquid composition comprising (a) an ethylenically unsaturated group- containing urethane resin prepared by reacting a tertiary amino group-containing diol with a polyisocyanate compound and further introducing an ethylenically unsaturated group, (b) a polymerization initiator and (c) water-soluble polymeric polysaccharides into a granular form in an aqueous medium containing metallic ions, then subjecting the resultant granular gel to photopolymerization and/or thermal polymerization and reacting the ethylenically unsaturated group in the granular gel.
