TREATMENT CHAIR HAVING ADJUSTABLE HEAD SUPPORT FOR MEDICAL CARE OR DENTAL CARE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the adjustability of a head support with respect to both of the constitution and function in a treatment chair for medical care or dental care. SOLUTION: This treatment chair is equipped with a seat part 3, a backrest 4 connected to the seat part 3 so as to be made pivotally movable around an axial line 5a extending in a horizontal and lateral direction by a joint 5 and a head support 6 connected to a rod-shaped head support carrier 7 so as to be made pivotally movable around an axial line 13a extending in a horizontal and lateral directions by a joint 13. The head support carrier 7 is provided to a first guide 8 extending in the length direction of the backrest 4 in a displaceable manner and a clamping part 9a is arranged between guide parts to be provided to one guide part and acts so as to be clamped to the other guide part. In order to improve the adjustability of the head support in relation to this constitution and function, the acting direction of the clamping part 9a is turned at a right angle to the axial line 8c of the guide 8 and the clamping surface of other clamping part extending in parallel to the axial line 8c of the guide 8.
