<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a dental prosthesis that has the same shape as that when a patient is healthy, has an ideal shape to the patient, is good in precision and excellent in adaptability to an oral cavity by using a method for making a dental prosthesis by cutting and grinding by using a conventional CAD/CAM system. SOLUTION: In the method for making the dental prosthesis using the CAD/ CAM system, when displaying three-dimensional coordinate information on shapes of the mouths measured on the basis of gypsum models made by collecting impressions of the mouths of patients or images obtained by photographing the mouths of patients on a graphic display as three-dimensional graphics and designing a dental prosthesis on the basis of the three-dimensional graphics, three-dimensional coordinate information on the shapes of the mouths of the patients when they were healthy, which was previously preserved, is displayed on the graphic display as graphics and the dental prostheses to be made are designed in the same shapes as those when they were healthy, design data of the dental prostheses obtained are transmitted to a cutting and grinding machine as process commands, and block materials are cut and ground.</p> |
