PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide gas fire extinguishing equipment by which the initial fire extinguishing is quickly performed without affecting a human body even if a person is present inside a fire extinguishing section and the fire is surely extinguished even for the combustibles with a high gas extinguishing density thereafter. SOLUTION: At the time of discharging a gaseous fire extinguisher stored inside fire extinguisher storage containers 1 and 2 into the fire extinguishing object sections 5A and 5B and extinguishing the fire by turning the density of the fire extinguisher inside the fire extinguishing object sections 5A and 5B to the quenching density or higher, this equipment is provided with primary discharge means 3A and 3B for first discharging the gaseous fire extinguisher for an amount to maintain the fire extinguisher density in the fire extinguishing object sections 5A and 5B at an LOAEL value or lower into the fire extinguishing object sections 5A and 5B and secondary discharge means 4A and 4B for additionally discharging the gaseous fire extinguisher for the amount to maintain the fire extinguisher density of the gaseous fire extinguisher in the fire extinguishing object sections 5A and 5B at the LOAEL value or higher into the fire extinguishing object sections 5A and 5B after the gaseous fire extinguisher is discharged by the primary discharge means 3A and 3B.
