PURPOSE: A method for providing information and recording media storing program are provided to use the entire screen while receiving an information providing service and to supply the information successively to a user even if the user operates another program. CONSTITUTION: The user installs the program needed to receive the information by downloading from a web server(S2) and stores the interesting categories in a computer(S3). The user receives the request information from the web server through a network(S4). When the user requests the information to the web server, the information is requested based on the registered interesting category information(S5). The received information is stored in a queue by separating each category(S6). If the program is started, the information is output to a title bar of an active window by successively extracting the information stored in the queue(S7).
