PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating powder which is extremely friendly in working environment without dispersion of dust as to a method of preparing liquid matter containing a powder and a medium by mixing the powder and the liquid medium, and also provide a treating apparatus which is used for this method. SOLUTION: The method for treating powder comprises charging a bag in which powder is stored and a liquid medium into a container, breaking the bag within the hermetically sealed container to mix the powder and the medium by contacting them, and preparing a liquid matter containing the powder and the medium. The treating apparatus which is a container of an almost circle or a polygon in section, has a feed opening with a door capable of being hermetically sealed into which the bag can be casted is provided on a side of the container, an output port with a door capable of being hermetically sealed from which the liquid matter containing the powder and the medium can be taken out is provided on the side of the container and a spiral and platy structure provided inside the container. The whole container can be rotated centering the central axis of the section.
