PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that though dough and bean jam are required to be separately prepared when producing Taiyaki or Taiyaki-shaped confectionery, the preparation of the dough is difficult operation for an unskilled baker such as a student worker or a part-time worker, and a conventional method inhibits efficiency improvement of business operation for these goods fundamentally sold by person-to-person sales at a shop because the time required for baking is too long. SOLUTION: This method for producing the Taiyaki or the Taiyaki-shaped confectionery comprises enclosing a spherical or rugby ball-shaped lump of the dough obtained by wrapping the bean jam with the dough containing an adequate amount of yeast and butter added thereto, in female molds made of a metal, and heating the exterior of the female molds to heat and expand the lump of the dough in the female molds, to transcribe the inner shape of the female molds to the outer surface of the dough, and to bake the dough.
