PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive mechanism for a dehydration washing machine which achieves a smaller size along with higher durability and reliability thereof by upgrading the strengths of a washing shaft and a dehydration shaft with a simple structure. SOLUTION: A power transmission shaft is provided with the dehydration shaft 4 for rotating a spinning tub 2 and the washing shaft 7 for rotating an agitation blade 3 disposed in the spinning tub 2. A deceleration mechanism 10 is arranged in a rotor 31 of a motor 30 rotatably arranged about the washing shaft 7 and the rotation of the rotor 31 is transmitted to the washing shaft 7 through the deceleration mechanism 10 or a switching means 23 is provided to do so directly by switching between the washing shaft 7 and the dehydration shaft 4.
