PURPOSE: A method for overwriting data in a multi-session disk is provided to prevent unnecessary loss of previously recorded data by overwriting data in the corresponding session as one logic track and overwriting production control information of the logic track and production control information of logic tracks of other sessions in continuity between the information. CONSTITUTION: A method for overwriting data in a multi-session disk includes the steps of checking a recording size of data to be overwritten later, searching a certain one session having a recording size of more than the checked recording size, recording the requested data in the searched one session, and overwriting management information of the session in which data is overwritten and management information of other sessions.
