PURPOSE: A method and a system for controlling copy of a digital media are provided to prevent impermissible access to a digital media data set by using hybrid coding technique and media authentication. CONSTITUTION: A system for controlling copy of a digital media includes a secret key verifier, a media key demodulator, and a media data modulator. The secret key verifier receives media authentication including secret key ID of a compliant play device, and searches a real secret key by checking whether or not each usable secret key of the play device corresponds to the secret key ID. The media key demodulator receives the coded media key and demodulates the media key with the real secret key. The media data modulator receives the coded media data set and modulates the media data set with the demodulated media key. |
