METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CYLINDER HEAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a cylinder head which enables a cooling channel to be separated into the suction side and the exhaust side by a thin partition wall, in a core of reduced manufacturing costs and enhanced accuracy. SOLUTION: According to this invention of the method for manufacturing a cylinder head the suction side core 21 forming the suction side cooling channel 11a and the exhaust side core 22 forming the exhaust side cooling channel 11b are connected in a mutually butting state on both ends of a clearance 24 which forms a partition wall separating the core 20 used in casting a cylinder head into the suction side and the exhaust side. By the method of forming a core fixing places 25 out of the connected portions of the core, the partition wall formed in casting is not made excessively thick, the dispersion of the core is minimized, and the core is stably held despite the few fixing places.
