PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method and treatment equipment for contaminated soil capable of making efficient treatment in the treatment of the contaminated soil using UV rays. SOLUTION: The treatment equipment 100 for the contaminated soil comprises the step of mixing photocatalyst particles 2 with the contaminated soil 1 to be treated and moving the soil to be treated in the state of imparting vibrations to the soil to be treated while irradiating the soil to be treated with the UV rays. The photocatalyst particles 2 desirably have the specific gravity smaller than the specific gravity of the soil 1 to be treated. The treatment equipment for the contaminated soil has a catalyst adder 20 for adding the photocatalyst particles to the contaminated soil 1 to be treated, a vibration transporter 30 for moving the soil to be treated while imparting the vibrations thereto and a UV feeder 40 for irradiating the soil 1 to be treated which moves on a conveyance section 32 of the vibration transporter 30 with the UV rays.
