PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface plate for grinding which resists the stagnation of abrasive in the bottom of a groove and the adhesion of solid substances. SOLUTION: The surface plate for grinding in which a groove 10 for supplying and discharging abrasive is provided on a plate surface, has an arcwise part 13 in which a side surface and the bottom surface of a groove are smoothly connected by adopting groove cross-sectional shape. The surface roughness of the groove is 5-30S. The surface treatment such as plating treatment or fluororesin coating is applied on the surface of the groove. |
