A mounting member, extending outward from an adjustable sleeve (5), includes a slot defining a u shaped path. The path comprises of two positioning ends and a passage. A pivotal block, transversely attached to the mounting member, has a longitudinal chamber and a slot coupled to each other. The adjustable sleeve is mounted on the upright support of the sunshade. A connecting rod (59) is coupled to the pivotal block and to the arcuate tube of the sunshade. A pusher, slidably received in the longitudinal chamber, has one end suited for manual operation. A positioning peg, secured to the pusher, is passed through the slot of the pivotal block to one of the positioning ends. When one end of the pusher is retained in either positioning end, the connecting rod is retained in place with respect to the mounting member. When the same pusher end is removed from either positioning end, the connecting rod and the pivotal block pivot relative to the mounting member to a position that makes the pusher end engage with the other positioning end.
