PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and safely change the course in operations of a traveling clutch lever 8 provided in a part other than an operating part of a combine harvester. SOLUTION: The constitution of this operating apparatus of the combine harvester is characterized by installing the traveling clutch lever 8 for practicing the travel and stop of the traveling device 1 in a place other than the operating part 7 and providing a course changing means 9 in the left and right directions for practicing course change of the traveling device 1 to the left and right directions in the traveling clutch lever 8 in the combine harvester equipped with a reaping device 3 for reaping planted stand grain culms and transporting the reaped grain culms to the rear and a feed transporting device 4 for taking over the grain culms transported from the reaping device 3 and further transporting the grain culms to the rear in front of a chassis 2 having the traveling device 1, a threshing device 5 for threshing and separating the grain culms transported from the feed transporting device 4, a grain tank 6 for temporarily storing the grain culms threshed and separated with the threshing device 5 and the operating part 7 on the chassis.
