PURPOSE: Provided are lactic bacteria which have high adsorption to heavy metal such as cadmium and plumbum but is not noxious to a human body, and processed dairy products using them as a starter. CONSTITUTION: Lactic bacteria, Leuconostoc spp(KCTC 1870PKCTC 18072P) and Enterococcus faecium(KCTC18069KCTC 18069P), are isolated from saliva of a calf and feces of an infant respectively. The Leuconostoc spp(KCTC 1870PKCTC 18072P) and Enterococcus faecium(KCTC18069KCTC 18069P) can be used as a starter in manufacturing processed dairy products, such as fermented milk, butter, cheese and the like.
