PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-type motor-driven welding machine capable of reduc ing the spotting speed thereof, reducing the fluctuation in pressure, and appli cable to a gun for a large work by connecting a reduction gear to an output shaft of a motor. SOLUTION: In this X-type motor-driven welding machine with at least one gun arm 1 out of two gun arms having electrodes facing each other on their tips being turnably connected thereto, the reduction gear 7 is connected to the output shaft of the motor 8 disposed behind connection parts 6 of both gun arms, and the gun arm is turned by a link mechanism 3 and/or a cam mechanism provided on the output side 9 of the reduction gear.
