PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device which can apply stable accelerated cooling over the whole flange surface, even when a flange comes to touch a side guide caused by camber generated in a wide flange beam. SOLUTION: In a flange cooling device for the wide flange beam which, to cool the flange 2, jets cooling water on the outside flange surface 10as of the wide flange beam from multiple jetting holes 12 installed on the side guide 10 after finish rolling, the flange cooling device is equipped with caved grooves 11a outside the jetting holes 12 along the longitudinal direction of the side guide 10.
