PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic water producing apparatus which can prevent the defective opening/closing of an opening/closing valve and can sufficiently maintain the discharge rate of mainly used alkaline ionized water in the electrolytic water producing apparatus provided with the opening/closing valve in a waste water passage for draining retained water which is opened and closed according to the differential pressure between the upstream side and the downstream side of the waste water passage. SOLUTION: A first water discharging passage to discharge the alkaline ionized water and a second water discharging passage to discharge acid ionized water are provided. A waste water passage is provided to drain the retained water downward from the electrolytic water producing apparatus 1 in the state where water from water supply port 2 is suspended. An opening/closing valve 12 is provided in the waste water passage so that the valve 12 is in an open state when the pressure of the upstream side of the waste water passage becomes large, and in a closed state when the pressure of the upstream side becomes small. A bypass flow passage 28 to communicate the second water discharging passage with the waste water passage is provided so that the connecting location of the bypass flow passage 28 in the waste water passage is on the downstream side from the opening/closing valve 12.
