PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent cracks at an opening of a countertop made of resin because of deformations caused by heat generated by using a source of heat such as a gas range. SOLUTION: The countertop 11 has an opening 12 for a range to install the source of heat such as a gas range. Cuts 13a-d extending from the surface of the countertop along its thickness are formed at each corner of the opening 12 for the range.
