PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bacterial endophyte having an antibacterial wilt or an antibacterial canker activity. SOLUTION: This bacterial endophyte is obtained by isolating an antibacterial wilt bacterium Ku2 or an antibacterial wilt bacterium Ku3B or an antibacterial canker bacterium Ku17 or an antibacterial canker bacterium ku44 which is the bacterial endophyte having the antibacterial wilt activity or antibacterial canker activity from various species of plants. The prophylaxis or control of the bacterial wilt or bacterial canker of especially tomato plants can be carried out by using the bacterial endophyte.
