PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CRFG-1b polypeptide and a polynucleotide, to provide a method for producing the polypeptide by a recombinant technique, and to provide a method for utilizing the polypeptide and the polynucleotide for the treatments of diseases and for the diagnostic assays of the diseases. SOLUTION: An isolated polynucleotide comprises a nucleotide sequence that has at least 80% identity over its entire length to a nucleotide sequence encoding the CRFG-1b polypeptide having a specific amino acid sequence and has the activity of the CRFG-1b polypeptide, or that has a nucleotide sequence complementary to the nucleotide sequence.
