PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase convenience in operating a game machine in a game parlor by ensuring control over the dispensing of game media, the game machine having the function of backing up a power supply for information. SOLUTION: A CPU checks the state of a signal output from a clear switch. When detecting an on state the CPU carries out a normal initialization process; if the clear switch is not on, the CPU carries out a playing condition restoration process. In the restoration process, the CPU determines if dispensing of the game media was stopped; if the dispensing was stopped, the CPU sends a command to designate the stop of the dispending to a dispensing control means; if the dispensing was not stopped, the CPU sends a command to designate a dispensable state to the dispensing control means. It is thus possible to ensure the control over the dispensing and enhance convenience in the operation of the game machine in a game parlor.
