PURPOSE: To eliminate a delay in a room temperature control and to enable a room temperature to rapidly approach a set temperature by a method wherein when an operating frequency code of a compressor is changed over, the operating frequency of the compressor is determined in response to an operating frequency which is most close to an actual operating frequency. CONSTITUTION: An outdoor controlling device 10 of an inverter type air conditioner detects an actual operating frequency of a compressor 3, judges an operating frequency code which is most close to this detected operating frequency in reference to a predetermined table and outputs it to an indoor control device 11. The indoor control device 11 sets as its reference code an operation frequency code obtained from the outdoor control device 10 and in turn determines the operation frequency code on the basis of the reference code when the operation frequency code of the compressor 3 is changed over and outputs it to the outdoor control device 10. Due to this fact, the outdoor control device 10 detects an actual operating frequency of the compressor 3 with a driving control part 10a, discriminates the operating frequency code corresponding to the detected actual operating frequency and outputs it to the indoor control device 11. |
