PURPOSE:To facilitate the engagement/disengagement of the gear to be driven of a cartridge and the driving gear of a main body with simple structure and to realize a printer or a facsimile which is miniaturized and inexpensive. CONSTITUTION:The gear to be driven L# of the cartridge is driven by a gear K# provided in the main body; and the gear K# is constituted by combining a gear K1# and a gear K2# and coaxially and rotatably supported, and it is in an initial state where it is stopped after being energized to be turned in one direction by a spring KS by combining them through a means capable of relatively turning. When the gear to be driven L# is driven from the gear K1# through the gear K2#, the gear K1# is idly rotated and the gear K2# can be driven at a specified position, then the gear to be driven LIP is driven. When the gear to be driven L# is engaged with the gear K2#, they are engaged while the gear K2# is idly rotated. |
