PURPOSE: A metal halide lamp is provided to prevent the leakage of a vacuum pressure of a light emitting tube and lengthen a lifetime of the light emitting tube by forming a section of a sheet member with an elliptic shape. CONSTITUTION: A bulb is formed with a transparent material. A plurality of tube portions are formed at the bulb. A support portion is installed in the inside of the bulb. A light emitting tube(30) is fixed to the support portion by using a band. An electrode terminal is installed at both ends of the light emitting tube(30). The electrode terminal is connected to a leadin. A socket member is installed at the tube portion of the bulb. The socket member is electrically connected to the leadin. The light emitting tube(30) is formed with a tube member(31) having a space portion(31a), a sheet member(32), an electrode(33), and a lead line(34).
