PURPOSE: A device for preventing collision of piston of linear compressor is provided to prevent collision of the piston with the other parts when an over stroke occurs. CONSTITUTION: A first magnet(110) is installed on a front end of a piston receiving driving force of a driving motor generating linear reciprocating driving force and linearly reciprocate in a cylinder(40) and a second magnet(120) with polarity opposite to the first magnet is installed on an opposite object facing the first magnet when the piston linearly reciprocates, such as a discharge valve assembly(100).
