PURPOSE: To provide a method that provides data (executionable code unit) to control other device in a network where data are exchanged between devices. CONSTITUTION: A DCM(Device Control Module) manager 212 of a controller FAV(Full AV) 21 first collects information on data (DCM) to control a device from config ROMs (214, 244, 254) of each device, which store the data. The DCM manager 212 uses this information to seek a newest DCM for a device to be controlled BAV(Base AV) 240 newly connected to a network. The DCM manager 212 reads a newest BAV1-DCM-b 255 from a config ROM 254 of the BAV 250 and installs this DCM.
