PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose the optimum reaction condition for the low temperature synthesis method of a lithium-containing metal compound and to obtain a positive electrode active material for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing the lithium-containing metal compound includes a process where a metal hydroxide containing at least one kind of transition metals selected from Ni, Co, Mn, and Fe is oxidized through a plurality of stages. The process also comprises steps where at least one step is executed in a lithium-containing reaction system and a step where at least one step of a liquid phase system/a liquid phase dispersion system is employed. |
