PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save power consumption of a wireless device in an electronic water meter system where the wireless communication is carried out between a water meter and a counter. SOLUTION: In the electronic water meter system 1, the communication between the water meter 2 and the counter 3 is carried out by the wireless device 4, 5 intermittently. The counter 3 in which no clock is installed obtains the current time in such a manner that the time is periodically obtained from a clock installed in the water meter 2, and reference pulse signals obtained from an installed oscillator are counted. The wireless device 5 on the side of the counter 3 is changed into a sleep mode of the operation mode in nighttime or the like, and thereby the power consumption can be saved. |
