摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the temperature of steam generated by a heat exchanger to target temperature with good response even if the operation state of an internal combustion engine changes. SOLUTION: The heat exchanger 14 exchanges heat between the exhaust gas flowing through the exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine 11 and the water flowing through a heat-conduction pipe 13 and heats the water with the exhaust gas to generate steam of the target temperature. A plurality of flow rate control valves 17a to 17j are provided which can individually adjust the amount of water supplied to a plurality of headers provided to the heat-conduction pipe 13 and a control means 21 individually controls the amounts of water supplied from the flow rate control valves 17a to 17j according to the rotating speed of and the load on the internal combustion engine 11. Consequently, the operation state of the internal combustion engine 11 changes and the temperature and flow rate of the exhaust gas vary, the temperature distribution of the heat-conductive pipe 13 is controlled to a previously set temperature distribution and the input energy of the exhaust gas is converted into the output energy of the steam without being consumed for the temperature variation of the heat-conduction pipe 13, thereby increasing the transient response of the steam temperature.
