<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which prevents white void in a solid image even when a fixing device with an electromagnetic induction heating method is used in a low temperature environment. SOLUTION: The toner is used for such an image forming method that the method includes (i) a magnetic field generating means and (ii) a rotary heating member having at least a heat generating layer which generates heat by electromagnetic induction and that the method is carried out by generating heat in a part in the rotary heating member along its rotation direction to heat, press and fix a toner image on a recording material to form a fixed image. The toner contains at least a binder resin and a coloring agent, to which fine powder of hydrotalcite compounds expressed by general formula (1) is externally added. In formula (1), the suffixes satisfy 0<[X=(x1+x2+...+xk)]<=0.5 and Y=(y1+y2+...+yj)=1-X, j and k are integers 2 or more, each of M12+, M22+,...Mj2+ represents a different bivalent metal ion, each of L13+, L23+,...Lk3+ represents a different trivalent metal ion, An- is a n-valent anion and m>=0.</p> |
