摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem caused by the conventional regenerated electric power controller of the controller being not able to sufficiently recover regenerated electric power, because the controller merely limits or cuts the charging current of a secondary battery, when the voltage of the battery reaches the upper limit value of the charged voltage of the battery. SOLUTION: A charging controller controls the charging of the secondary battery of an electric vehicle driven by means of a motor which can regenerate electric power, by using electric power supplied from the secondary battery. The controller is provided with a first charging means which charges the secondary battery, until the voltage of the battery reaches the upper limit value by using a prescribed regenerated electric power from the motor and a second charging means which controls the value of the regenerated electric power, so that the voltage of the battery is maintained at the upper limit value or its vicinity after the voltage of the motor reaches the upper limit value.
