PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extraction method for herb and plant materials that produces a highly soluble substance, high-level marker compound such as alkylamide with high yield at low cost. SOLUTION: This method of producing a plant extract includes a) process of providing plant materials, b) process of forming a mixture by contacting plant materials with an alcohol, c) process of heating the mixture at least about 50 deg.C, and d) process of maintaining the temperature of the mixture for at least 90 minutes and generating a liquid extract and an insoluble solid. The liquid extract contains at least 0.1 wt.% alkylamide level. |
