OPTICAL DISK DEVICE, AND DATA RANDOMIZING METHOD FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record write data different for each writing on a medium in order to maintain a good tracking characteristic, and prevent the alteration of the medium even when the same user data are written in an adjacent track or in the physically same place. SOLUTION: Optional sheet data for randomization are added to original data to be recorded on a disk. 1-bit randomizing data are decided by calculation using 1-bit original data or sheet data and plural bit past randomizing data. In descrambling, the descrambling is carried out without needing any sheet data.
