PURPOSE: A fluorescent lamp having a heat-sink member and a method for fabricating the same are provided to improve cooling efficiency of the fluorescent lamp by installing the heat-sink member in the fluorescent lamp. CONSTITUTION: A fluorescent lamp(100) has a cylindrical fluorescent tube(110), the first and the second bases(120,125), and a heat-sink member. The first and the second bases(120,125) are installed at both end portions of the cylindrical fluorescent tube(110). The first base(120) has the first filament(123) located within the cylindrical fluorescent tube(110) and the first terminal(131). The second base(125) has the second filament(127) located within the cylindrical fluorescent tube(110) and the second terminal(132). The heat-sink member has a cylindrical structure. A diameter of the heat-sink member corresponds to 1/4 to 1/2 of the diameter of the cylindrical fluorescent tube(110).
